CRAB AND SHRIMP SEAFOOD BISQUE

Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque is a creamy dish combining crab and shrimp flavors in a comforting bowl. Ingredients:

1 cup butter

⅓ cup green onion

1 cup flour

⅓ cup celery

1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream

1 tbsp. tomato paste

2 cups whole milk

1 tsp. old bay seasoning

1 cup crab meat

1 cup shrimp, peeled & deveined

¼ tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Add butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. When butter melts, add green onions and celery, and cook until vegetables soften, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the flour over the vegetables and continue to cook for another minute.
  4. Warm the milk until it’s just heated but not boiling.
  5. Gradually pour the warm milk into the saucepan, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
  6. Then add tomato paste, heavy cream, and Old Bay Seasoning, and mix to combine completely.
  7. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook until it thickens slightly.
  8. Add shrimp and crab meat to the bisque, stirring gently to heat through.
  9. Garnished with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
